MECHANICAL DRAFTS PERSON
Experienced Mechanical Draftspersons to join our team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will have a creative approach, with the ability to think ‘outside the box’ when developing new concepts and prototypes, along with a mindset of committing to quality, actively seeking to continually improve work processes and takes pride in their attention to detail. This position is:
Full Time Permanent Positions
Free, onsite parking
Based in our Forrestfield office
The key responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to:
Responsible for the design and upkeep of 3D models for an entire product line.
Generate and maintain production files, DXF's for profiling, PDFs for production, BOM's for purchasing.
Development of concepts and proto-types.
Assist production personnel with technical queries.
Assist with continuous improvement initiative for relevant product line.
Requirements for this position:
Skilled and experienced in AutoDesk Inventor 3D modelling and detailing.
Ability to multitask and problem solve.
Qualifications and experience in mechanical design.
Knowledge in relevant Australian standards of drawings, welding & metal fabrication.
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Competent with Microsoft Office suite of software.
The desire and ability to implement new design concepts for further development of the business.
Ability to work unsupervised and achieve agreed outcomes and time frames.
An eye for detail and the desire to achieve 100% accuracy
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
The following would be highly advantageous:
Previous experience in the road transport industry and ADR's.
Mechanical Engineering, Trade qualifications or fabrication shop experience.
Knowledge in relevant Australian standards of drawings, welding & metal fabrication.
Heavy manufacturing design drafting experience.
Autodesk Vault experience.
